Communication Methods

Choose five (5) different communication methods listed in Chapter 8. Draft a form of communication for each of the four (4) scenarios listed below based on one or more of the different communication methods listed in Chapter 8.

Write a three to four (3-4) page paper that addresses the following scenarios:
One of your employees is constantly late, leaving food and drinks at the work station, and you are forced to address the situation. 
You need to let all employees know about a company special event. 
You hear from a friend that a client is about to sign a contract with one of your present competitors. 
You have three bids on a piece of equipment and you need to get a management decision on purchasing.

Communication is valuable in the business environment for different parties are involved to find a common ground and make agreements. It enhances the interaction among various stakeholders in the corporate world. Without various methods of communication present today, people would consume most of their time trying to do their business efficiently. Many new devices have emerged over the years to assist individuals in the workplace to communicate with all parties involved efficiently. The best communication methods for the organization would be meetings, special events for staff, memos, face-to-face conversations, and telephone and voice mails.

Scenario 1            Since one of the employees is misbehaving staying in the office late and leaving drinks and food at the work station, the best form of communication to address the situation would be face-to-face. Even though technology is rampant, face-to-face conversation and meeting continue to be the primary method for communication in any business environment. Scenario 2             Events for staff will be the best method of communication to be used in this case. The employees will be motivated to know that an event has been planned for them and will eagerly come to it. According to Guffey and Loewy (2014), due to such an event the workers will be able to interact with people in various level of an organization. As the manager, I will let the special events facilitator to positively impress the staff because it will increase their morale. The employees should be motivated to achieve organizational goals.
