The studies by Blix et al. (2013) and Savic (2015) attribute the challenges and symptoms to occupational stress. Maslach and Jackson (1981) allude that professionals often spend significant time working in intense involvements with other people. How these individuals interact with their workers and clients is centered on the psychological, social, as well as physical attributes, which influence their feelings of anger, embarrassment, fear, or despair. Blix et al. (2013) and Savic (2015) show that many people recover from these symptoms, but Maslach and Jackson (1981) state that it is hard to come up with solutions to these issues. From Blix et al. (2013) and Savic (2015) perspective, the challenge is finding the appropriate solution as a result of the mental and emotional dysfunction. Additionally, the accumulating feeling of being stressed from previous activities makes it difficult to develop sustainable solutions. The consequences of these issues are dire because they affect individual productivity, and might lead one to work for a limited period, change occupation or give up work early. The authors identify this whole phenomenon as work burnout, which is linked to occupational stress.
