The management philosophy of the company can affect decision-making process by emphasizing ethics during business operations. Another environmental factor is intense competition in industry, which forces workers to concentrate on the bottom line rather than business ethics. Such competitive environment also makes the employee performance to be based on end-results and not considering the ethical means used to achieve the results (Olden, 2015).
