Organizational Dynamics and Management

Introduction

            Literally, an organization is a setting that is comprised of two or more individuals, groups, teams or units that comprise of people working together for a common goal. The sole purpose of an organizational common goal is therefore what brings about organizational dynamics. Organizational dynamics are the actual manner in which people function in an organized way within an organization to align with the overall mission and vision of the organization (Tjosvold, Wong and Feng 2014). This report seeks to explore and provide insights into the organizational dynamics with the aid of article analysis. The paper seeks to analyze two journal articles that delve into employee productivity, with the integration of other components concerning organizational behavior, for instance, motivation, organizational climate as well as the organizational culture in general (McShane & Von Glinow 2015).      

Overview of Organizational Dynamics

            Organizations are comprised of dynamics, which come into play in three different levels, namely the micro level that comprises of individual stakeholders, the meso level, which is comprised of the organizational work groups, and the macro level, which takes care of how organizations behave in general. In organizations, people behave in a different way, as opposed to when they are conducting themselves in private matters, away from the organizations. Organizational dynamics, therefore, entails the study of the way people conduct themselves, or what actually motivates people to conduct themselves the way they do in an organizational context. Dynamics, in general, pertain to the matters that concern the state of the organization. Among the numerous aims of the organization, dynamics is the fact that it investigates the behavior of the organization in light of organizational theory so that there can be a better conceptualization of the life of the organization (McShane & Von Glinow 2015).
